2008-11-23 Not much happening currently - the winter is here! They promised a snow storm for this evening, so I had to go and make some room in the garage for the B105. I don't want to leave it outside for the winter. So, a short clip about that:
And as I was there anyways I figured I better have the Turbo running a bit too, since the battery seemed to be all but dead already (after two months without driving - seems to me that the alarm takes a lot of juice). A clip about that also:
I found some nice parts for a V4. I think they will go to the 95 when it's time.
__ __ __ Ok, we did get a little snow the same evening:
- - - 2008-12-7 You may remember me fixing the heater unit, or the box that contains the air flow valves. This thing:
As it was the only grey plastic heater part I had, I naturally assumed it was the oldest one and hence from the '64. But actually it is from the longnose '66 and this is the correct one:
The steering column is also in place, so the car now has steering.
The lock is so strong, that if you try to force it off from the gear selector it only bends! A few bits and pieces:
I think Saab used mainly VDO instruments but at some point they had problems getting them and used Veglia instead. |
