Finnish Police had very few Saab 96 as patrol cars in the old days and none of them have survived to this day. You can read more about them here (just roll down the page).
I have had this really sad looking Tekno Saab 96 a while and I was going to restore it to it's former glory. But then I got a better idea - why not model one of the Saab 96 police cars!
So, on one rainy afternoon...
I made the light and sign from plastic and printed the POLIISI text and licence plate with my printer. I'm still missing a headlight. I'll have to find a suitable piece of glass somewhere.
All in all, I'm pretty happy how it looks.
